Eight Areas of Commitment

The CIBREST mission is pursued through eight foundational commitments

  • I

    Sola Scriptura

To uphold that Scripture alone is sufficient to understanding divine truth and as the foundation of all research. The Bible is our primary textbook and ultimate authority in all matters of doctrine, faith, theory, and practice.

  • II

    Theological Triad

To advance scholarship through the theological triad of Faith Theology, Theoretical Theology, and Practical Theology โ€” equipping scholars to engage all dimensions of Christian thought and ministry.

  • III

    Research Pastor-Scholars

To raise research pastor-scholars who will serve the Church, engage the academy, and transform society โ€” embodying the dual identity of researcher and minister, called to serve both the academy and the Kingdom.

  • IV

    Teaching

CIBREST provides high-quality instruction, guidance, discipleship and mentorship in Biblical Christian studies, such as theology, biblical Christian education, theoretical theology, and related fields.

    Psalm 119:66 ยท Matthew 28:19-20 ยท 2 Timothy 2:2

  • V

    Learning

CIBREST fosters a learning environment that encourages students to explore, discover, and grow in their understanding of biblical truths.

    Proverbs 1:7 ยท Philippians 4:8-9

  • VI

    Research

CIBREST conducts Scripture-based and Spirit-illuminated inquiry or research, promotes scholarly inquiry, and advances knowledge in Biblical and theological studies, such as theology, biblical Christian education, faith theology, theoretical theology, and related fields. Biblical research holds the torch of truth.

    Isaiah 34:16 ยท Acts 17:11 ยท John 5:39 ยท 2 Timothy 2:15

  • VII

    Professional Development

CIBREST focuses on equipping students, scholars, and ministry professionals with the skills, knowledge, and character necessary for effective service and leadership through Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences.

    Ephesians 4:11-12, 13-16 ยท 1 Timothy 4:7-8

  • VIII

    Publications

Researchers must write a clear and concise report, sharing their findings with relevant audiences. The Bible has encouraged us to share our light since we are the light of the world โ€” share this light and publish the word (i.e., faith, testimony, and good works) with others, rather than hiding it.

Isaiah 52:7 ยท Matthew 5:14-15 ยท Matthew 28:19-20 ยท Mark 16:15 ยท Romans 10:14-15 ยท 2 Timothy 4:2

Note: These eight areas provide a solid foundation for the Institute's mission and activities. We are committed to advancing biblical research, biblical education, and theological education. Our mission is to integrate biblical principles into various fields of study. Join us here.
